Finland, 1977

Finnish poet who has also published three novels for teenagers. In her first book of poems, *Must not run with scissors* (2004, WSOY) you can find themes as body image of a girl and growing up in a society full of rules. Next book, *A place where a woman stands *(2007, WSOY),
contains poems of ancient mothers and questions about womanhood marked with accessories. Third book of
poems, *Poems of a happy cow* (2009, WSOY) is a book full of "glamour cows" and their sorrows. Huotarinen is working as a teacher of creative writing in Helsinki, Tampere and Turku and as an editor-in-chief in a literature magazine for teenagers called LUKUfiilis. Her books have won three different literature prizes. Right now she is living in Homeenlinna.
