Translator, poet, editor. Born in 1975 in Koper. A degree in comparative literature and literary theory in the Faculty of Arts in Ljubljana. He is the author of two poetry collections: Otok, slutnje, poljub (ŠKUC – Lambda, 2004), which was nominated for the award for best literary debut (2005), and Rezi v zlatem (CSK – Aleph, 2009), which, inter alia, a multimedia and multi-lingual performance “BS-LP: Being your own translation” (2010) was created. His poetry has been translated into several foreign languages and published in several anthologies in Slovenia and abroad attended the several Slovenian and international literary festivals, meetings and poetry-translation workshops. Particularly intensely engaged by translating from Italian literature, especially prose, poetry, essays and professional-theoretical texts by authors prominent 20th century (P. P. Pasolini, A. Tabucchi, D. Buzzati, P. V. Tondelli, N. Milani, C. Pavese, A. Zanzotto, P. Cappello, P. Cavalli, L. Passerini …); he is also translating for the theatre (C. Goldoni, D. Fo, E. Barba…). In 2011 the translation of the novel Pier Paolo Pasolini Oil won the Golden Bird. He also works as an editor and proofreader, and in the performing arts; recently (in the KUD AAC Zrakogled and Društvo 2000) designed the collection Helia, where translations of Mediterranean prose authors have been published.
