Robin Parmar is a composer, sound artist, poet, and researcher. In 2005 he represented Ireland at the Hammer & Tongue International Slam Competition (Oxford, UK). That same year he co-edited the anthology Microphone On (White House Press), the largest collection of new poetry in Ireland. He was an invited guest at the Brighton Poetry & Book Festival 2005 (University of Brighton, UK). The publication of his book Tragedy of the Sun And Stars (Stolen Mirror 2011) led to a special reading at the Hunt
Museum, Limerick. In 2012 he was an invited guest at the Mladé Rime Poetry Festival in Ljubljana, Slovenia. Robin is currently a member of the committee for the Cuisle Limerick International Poetry Festival. His work explores scientific discourse, the specificity of place, and mythologies old and new. He is currently fusing film, sitespecific poetry, and field recordings into filmpoems; the first will première in 2013.
